Car Classification

Detailed info below

If you are driving in a DE with a completely stock car you can register for our DE1 class and skip classification. All participants in the TT groups need to have their car classified with the current season rules or have submitted a car safety equipment calculator spreadsheet, even if they are not competing in timed runs.

Porsche Cars

Classifying your car is done on the Zone 8 Car Classification webpage: https://classification.zone8.org/ You will need to create an account on the Zone 8 Car Classification website.

Please use your name as it appears on the credit card you will use to pay for the event both for your account on the Zone 8 Car Classification site as well as your MotorsportReg account.

If you do not receive the confirmation e-mail after registering on the Zone 8 Car Classification site there may be an issue with your e-mail receiving the messages from the website, please reach out to preregtt-de@pcasdr.org so we can assist you or contact the Zone 8 Webmaster https://www.zone8.org/contacts/contact.php?club=1&position=12

After creating an account and logging in to the Zone 8 site click on Dashboard (upper right)

Then click on My Cars (upper left of center)

Then click on Add Car (upper right)

Answer the questions about your car, paying careful attention to all options.

Some questions people tend to get stuck on:

If you would like to run in a Street Stock Classes (and your car is eligible), please select or check these statements as appropriate

I attest that my tires are:

Porsche OEM tires have a Porsche specific specification, “N-spec.” This is indicated with a capital letter N and a number embossed on the sidewall of the car. If your tires come from the dealership it’s likely you have N-spec tires. If you are not sure about the N-spec status but your treadwear is 201 or greater select: “Not N-spec nor OEM but with a tread wear rating equal to or greater than 201”

If you are not sure how to answer this, select “Neither of the below is true.” This will prevent you from running in the SS classes, but won’t otherwise interfere with your classification.
